John, thanks for highlighting this publisher. The Crocodile Bride sounds like my kind of story: offbeat, a little weird but ultimately a coming of age tale. I have been a little restless with my more conventional reading choices so this struck a chord. I eagerly look anticipate the book 's arrival next month.

This alone makes starting this feature worth it.

My favourite indy publisher is from New Zealand: Lawrence & Gibson http://www.lawrenceandgibson.co.nz/ Brannavan Gnanalingam's 'Sprigs' is insanely good and I've got an OG copy of 'On the conditions and possibilities of Helen Clark taking me as her Young Lover'. So good.

Thank you, John, for putting Hub City on my radar -- the books mentioned look wonderful and I'm going to look forward to reading The Crocodile Bride, The Prettiest Star, Sleepovers, and Thresh & Hold. I just signed up for their newsletter!

On your indie publisher list, do you have these five?
