I remember my utter delight with your column when you started with the Chicago Tribune ---- someone else who was as passionate about reading as I was! On Sunday mornings after I finished the Tribune, I would call my best friend, Wendy, and invariably we would talk about the of your recommendations or one of the books submitted by a reader. Thanks to you, I have read "Pachinko", "Sloppy Dies", "The Trees" and many other marvelous books. Although I no longer subscribe to the Tribune, I am proud to continue to be a reader and supporter of your newsletter. I may not comment every week, but rest assured, I remain one of your happiest and most devoted followers. Thank you for continuing to read on our behalf and to write fearlessly about what you love.
